About AIIM Communities

For over 60 years, AIIM has provided education, industry advocacy, and networking. Before the Web, we communicated with our members primarily via the annual AIIM show, our magazine, and with mail. The Internet started to change this in the mid 90s with email and Web pages. Now, social networking is again changing how people communicate, connect, and find and share information.

AIIM has introduced this unique online community for you to connect, share, and discuss technologies and best practices to share and manage information. We're bringing our 65,000 strong (and growing) community to you: wherever you are. Through the Web, you can not only learn what works (and what doesn't) from your industry colleagues, but also connect with other members that have the same problem or tasks as you. Our goal is simple: With you, together, we are creating THE community for anyone interested in managing and, most importantly, USING their information.

By bringing together many of the best and brightest thought leaders and practitioners, we present you with a unique opportunity to interact and connect with them and your peers (and they with you; you know your business too). Initially, we'll focus on Enterprise 2.0 for improving collaboration and content sharing, and Electronic Records Management for improving the control of electronic records. Later this year we will add community resources for Capture/Scanning, Document Management, and Web Content Management. We decided to begin with Enterprise 2.0 and Electronic Records Management because doing both of them well is critical to your organization's success.

The new online Community for discussing technologies and best practices have the following new resources in addition to our existing webinars, training courses, research, whitepapers, and articles:
